A routine traffic stop conducted by DeKalb County deputies led to the arrest of a Jackson County man on drug charges.
According to information in a news release from Sheriff Jimmy Harris – 27 year old Dustin Shae Roberts of Higdon, was pulled over Tuesday night on County Road 732 – with Deputy Nathanial Bates running the driver’s license of Roberts and two other individuals in the vehicle.
After obtaining permission to search the vehicle the deputy found a syringe, which led to Roberts being arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle, Scotty Cuzzort – had a warrant out of Jackson County for a probation violation and he was turned over to deputies from Jackson County.
