An elderly woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on the Alabama Highway in Floyd County, Wednesday evening.
According to Floyd County Police, a Toyota Camry – being driven by 90 year old Minnie Hall – pulled out of a driveway into the path of an on-coming Nissan Frontier just after 7:00pm.
The vehicles collided in the highway with the Toyota coming to rest in the inside westbound lane while the other vehicle ending up in the parking lot of the Marathon convenience store.
Neither of the two teenage occupants of the Nissan were injured – however, Hall suffered visible injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
She will reportedly be cited for failure to yield.
