Firefighters Kept Busy Saturday After Several Fires Set In SE Cherokee Co.

Firefighters in the Southeastern portion of Cherokee County were kept busy on Saturday chasing an apparent fire bug setting fires along County Road 33.

Spring Garden and Ellisville Firefighters were dispatched to the first fire just after 4pm which stretched from County Road 33 to the water treatment plant on Highway 278 – with a second fire being set which stretched from County Road 33 to County Road 14.

Anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in this area is encouraged to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Tip-Line at 256-927-9999.

In addition – Cedar Bluff and Broomtown Firefighters were also busy battling multiple grass and brush fires in the northern portion of the County.
