According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office and Gadsden State Cherokee – will be sponsoring a Citizen’s Firearms Safety & Training Course in April.

The course will cover facts regarding new firearms laws; how to safely and legally carry firearms and how to apply for a concealed weapons permit and safety instructions from firearms experts.

The course will include a trip to a firing range for some hands-on experience.

The class will meet on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre Room 103 – on Tuesday April 8th from 6:00 – 9:00pm.

The number of participants is limited so pre-registration is required.
