A single-vehicle crash on U.S. 431 seven miles south of Heflin, claimed the life of a Hokes Bluff woman on Tuesday morning (March 4th).
The accident occurred at 11:45am when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole; the driver, 64 year old Wynell Studdard McDougal, was fatally injured in the wreck.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
