One person was taken to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment following a two-vehicle crash in Centre on Tuesday.

That wreck took place just before noon, on West Main Street in front of the Centre Motel – and it involved a 1998 Mustang, being driven by 19 year old Charity Lowry of Cedar Bluff, and a 2004 Nissan, driven by 20 year old Brooklyn Richardson of Leesburg.

Richardson escaped injury, while Lowry was transported to CMC by EMS.

A passenger in one of the vehicles, an infant, fortunately was unhurt in the wreck.

Both cars received moderate damage and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
