Those watching the Tuesday night episode of Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots” will be pleasantly surprised to see northeast Alabama native Staley Colvert, appearing in the role of a judge you hope you never meet in real life.

Though known as one of the nicest guys around, Colvert has the ability to portray characters that the audience would like to throw tomatoes at – and that’s just exactly the role he’s playing in this highly-acclaimed series

Colvert paid a visit to the WEIS Radio studios Tuesday morning to discuss that show, along with his background in acting, including his roles in footloose, a variety of television commercials and other auditions that went well – and some that didn’t go so well.
