Reagan Black, the former Chief of Security at Hays State Prison in Pennville, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Warden of Security at Walker State Prison in Lafayette, Georgia.
Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner Brian Owens announced that appointment last week.
Black started his career as a Correctional Officer at Hays back in 1993 – and he was promoted to Sergeant in 1995, then to the post of Lieutenant in 1999, before being named Chief of Security in 2012.
At Walker State Prison, Black will be responsible for supervising and managing 97 security staff, and the overall management and operation of the facility.
