A missionary has been placed under arrest by Anniston Police on charges of sexually abusing his five year old daughter.

According to the website al.com Captain Allen George says 33 year old Emmanuel Yarbrough of Anniston was arrested on Saturday February 1st and charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse; he was later released from the City Jail on a $15,000 bond.

An investigation was launched after a friend of Yarbrough’s approached investigators saying that Yarbrough had confessed to him that he had engaged in sexual contact with the child.  Police say they believe that contact took place at a home in Oxford, a hotel in Indiana and in Thailand while on a missionary trip – with the initial contact taking place at a home in Anniston.

The investigation into the case continues.
