A Rome man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Rome.
Floyd County Deputy Coroner Gene Procter pronounced Jeffrey Lane Matthews, age 46, dead at the scene following the wreck.
Matthews is believed to have had a medical condition that contributed to that crash, while he was driving on Old Dalton Road.
