One person was taken to Cherokee Medical Center with what were believed to be minor injuries sustained in a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of the Chestnut Bypass and Cedar Bluff Road in front of CVS in Centre Saturday morning.
The wreck occurred just after 8 a.m. and involved a Buick sedan and a work truck belonging to a company called “Roofing by Kevin King” from Haralson County, Georgia.
The impact was hard enough to cause the airbags in both vehicles to deploy.
The female driver of the truck was taken to the hospital to get checked out, but once again, it is believed her injuries were minor.
Police believe that the bright morning sun may have obstructed the view of the driver of the Buick, causing him to pull out in front of the truck.
We’ll have more details concerning the wreck once the accident report is completed by the Centre Police Department.
