Roy Russell Pannell, age 67 of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 15th at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18th at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marie Phillips and Rev. James Wells officiating.

Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Gilmore Pannell; sons, Jamie Pannell of Florida, Phillip Pannell of Florida, John Weaver of Florida, Tony Weaver of Rome, GA, Jason Pannell of Rome, GA and Jody Pannell of Florida; daughters, Cindy Hughes of Florida and Amber Pannell of Florida; brother, Ronnie Pannell of Collinsville; sisters, Odell Thomas of Centre, Audrey Otinger of Oxford and Sue Chandler of Centre; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pannell was a native of Blount County, the son of the late Otis and Alice Chandler Pennell and was a diesel mechanic.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
