Gaylesville Woman Air-lifted Following Christmas Day Crash on Highway 9

One person was hurt in a single-vehicle accident taking place on Christmas Day on Highway 9 in the Farill community, just after 2:30pm.

WEIS Radio News spoke with the dispatcher on duty this (Thursday) morning at the Jacksonville Post of the Alabama State Troopers – and he informed us that the driver was listed as Gaylesville resident Donna Tucker, age 47, who was driving a 2004 Buick. She was air-lifted from the scene to an area trauma center.

That dispatcher said the report didn’t list any passengers in the vehicle however WEIS Radio has learned that at least two children were in the vehicle when the accident occurred.

They were reportedly treated on the scene – and both were deemed to be okay before being taken home by family members.
