Rome Police are investigating an incident where a driver apparently tried to run over a child in a daycare parking lot Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the 4-year old girl was walking with her mother to their vehicle in the parking lot when the child dropped some items she as carrying.

A female driver of a Dodge Stratus tried to pull into the space next to them and “nudged” the child with her car to get her to move.

The child was not injured and the vehicle left before police arrived.

The investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made.
