One Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 68 Sunday Morning

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident, occurring in Cherokee County during the early morning hours of Sunday.

According to Alabama State Trooper accident reports the crash took place at 1:50am on Alabama Highway 68 and it involved a 2005 Chevy being driven by 33 year old Waylon Epps, and a 2001 Ford being driven by Robert Chestnut – both drivers were from Gaylesville.

Epps was listed as being injured in the mishap, while Chestnut was unhurt.

No additional information regarding the extent of Epps’ injuries or a possible cause for the wreck was immediately available.
