Funeral services for Mr. Garlon Sherman Wilkins, 82 of Jacksonville will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 2 pm at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel.

Burial will be in Williams Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Wilkins died Monday, December 9, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness.

He is survived by his daughter, Myra (Bill) Glenn; two grandchildren, Kim Stephens and Jonathan Glenn; three great grandchildren, Jacey Stephens, Chloe Stephens and Bryton Glenn; one sister, Elaine Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Wilkins was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Bergin Construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Daisy Wilkins; two sisters, Janet Wood and Virginia Williamson; and a brother, Clyde Wilkins.
