Woman and Nephew Arrested in Connection with Altoona Area Burglaries

An Etowah County woman and her nephew have been arrested in connection with a burglary that took place in Altoona.

32 year old Cynthia Honea and 21 year old Ryan Honea, both from Boaz have been placed under arrest on three counts of Theft of Property 1st Degree, one count of Theft of Property 2nd Degree and two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree.

The pair are accused of breaking into two homes on October 30th – one on Warrior Valley Road, and one on Little Cove Road – where they allegedly took a four-wheeler, a television, cookware, a digital camera, tools, an archery bow and a number of guns.

Both suspects are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center, on cash bonds set at $60,000 each.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin said they are also searching for a third suspect, 28 year old Bobby Smalley of an Arab address.
