Mr. David E. Williams, age 78 of Piedmont (Mt. Springs Community) passed away Friday, November 22nd at his residence.

Funeral services will be 1:oo p.m. Wednesday, November 27th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Jones officiating; burial will follow in Williams Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers include Shane Williams, Brad Adderhold, Tripp Morrow, Don Williams, Jarrad Ferguson, Brennon Ferguson, Hank Beaver.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Directors of Alabama Farmers Federation.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth White Williams; daughters, Shelby Ann (Avery) Ferguson of Piedmont, Sheila (Charles) Rosser of Cartersville, GA, Sarah (Jeff Gossett) Williams of Piedmont, Suzette (Brad) Gallant of Trussville; brothers, Donald (Elaine) Williams of Piedmont, Woodrow (Betina) Williams, Jr of Huntsville, Dale (Susie) Williams of Piedmont, Steve (Jamie) Williams of Piedmont; sisters, Jeanette Woods Griffith of Piedmont, Marie (Robert) Woods of Piedmont, Wanda (Von) Ledbetter of Piedmont, Deborah (Tony) Eubanks of Piedmont; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sondra Williams.

Mr. Williams was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Dora Penny Brown Williams, was a retired engineer from Gulf State Steel and was a member of Mtn. Springs Methodist Church.
