Ft Payne Native Zac McCurdy Signs with JSU on Golf Scholarship

Jacksonville State University Head Golf Coach, James Hobbs, announces the signing of Ft Payne native Zac McCurdy.

McCurdy, who is a senior at Ft Payne High – helped the Wildcats win the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A State Championship in 2012, and he also finished in a tie for sixth place at the 2011 AHSAA Class 5A State Championship as a freshman.

He also recorded two wins on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour, in addition to two second place finishes and a third place finish.

McCurdy also won the one Alabama Junior Golf Association tournament he played in along with back-to-back top 10 finishes in two American Junior Golf Association Tournaments.

McCurdy’s older brother Will also played college golf at Auburn University – and he is currently touring as a professional golfer.
