Chattooga County Investigators are looking into a report of a stolen vehicle, which was found cut into pieces – and a burglary occurring at a cabin on Neal Gap Road.
The owner of the cabin came to the property last week, after having been away for over a month, and upon arrival found the vehicle lying in pieces around the yard and the cabin broken into.
She reported that a number of items were missing from the structure and she suspected that some -one had been “cooking drugs” inside the cabin and in a nearby barn located on the property.
After investigators ran the vehicle identification number (VIN), they found that the vehicle was a gray 2005 Nissan Pathfinder which had been stolen from the Trion area.
The investigation into the matter continues.
