Cherokee County School Superintendent Mitchell Guice announed the retirements of two long-time school system employees during Tuesday’s board of education meeting meeting, which was held at Cedar Bluff School.
Mintz spoke with WEIS Radio about his reitrement following the meeting.
The board voted to post the positions that will be left vacant by the retirements.
The board also voted to hire Sarah Mann as a countywide Special Education Paraprofessional and bus aide and approved a Military Leave of Absence for Sand Rock Assistant Principal Randy Smith, effective Demember 9th through the 13th.
Board members also approved the 2013-2014 Social Studies Textbook Adoption Committees and the Milady Standard Comsmetology Textbook.
Dr. Trina Wood gave the 2012-2013 SIR and Attendance Report.
The school board also heard a presentment regarding achievements at Cedar Bluff School.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December the 3rd at 6 p.m. at the school system central office.
