Jesse Paul Wood, age 88 of Gaylesville, passed away Saturday, November 16th at Cherokee Health & Rehab.

Funeral services will be 3:PM Tuesday, November 19th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Hale officiating; burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers include Donnie Brown, Danny Brown, Travis Sopish, Jamie Hightower.

Survivors include his sons, James Wood, Paul (Jolynda) Wood, Bobby (Val) Wood; daughters, Sherry Wood Farris, Geri Testo, Peggy Wood (James Ray) Couch; sisters, Sharon Rose, Margaret Ragsdale; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Barham Wood and brother, Jimmy Wood.

Mr. Wood was a native of Illinois, the son of the late John William and Flora Thorne Wood and was of the Pentecostal faith.
