Police and emergency crews responded to a fatal automobile accident in Leesburg Tuesday.
The wreck occurred at around 5:27 p.m. on Holman Street, off of Highway 68 just past the Leesburg Yarn Mill.
37-year old Heather Denise Moon of Leesburg, formerly of Centre, died when her 2000 Jeep Wranger left the roadway and traveled down an embankment.
Leesburg Police Dept., Cherokee County Sheriff’s dept, Leesburg Fire, Cherokee County EMS and Cherokee County Rescue squad responded. The Alabama State Troopers were called into assist in the accident investigation.
