More information has been released regarding the arrest of a former Centre attorney.
According to information on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website – 44 year old Rodney Loring Stallings was placed under arrest just after 10:00 Thursday morning, and charged with 1st Degree Theft by Deception.
The arrest took place after an indictment was issued by a Cherokee County Grand Jury.
According to information in the arrest warrant obtained by WEIS Radio news, Stallings is accused of obtaining, by deception, control of 25-hundred dollars in checks and/or legal currency belonging to Larry E. Wright Jr. with the intent to deprive the owner of said property.
Stallings has been released from the Cherokee County Detention Center on a bond of 15-thousand dollars.
