Mr. Lonnie Hollingsworth, age 51 of Centre passed away Wednesday morning at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:PM Friday, October 25th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dan Hale and Rev Paul Clark officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 1:PM Friday.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Cherokee County Highway Department.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Green Hollingsworth; daughter, Crystal Hollingsworth of Leesburg; son, Jonathon Hollingsworth of Centre; chosen son, Bobby (Jennifer) Paul of Centre; granddaughters, Abi and Audri McCord and Emilee Paul; sisters, Connie (Mac) MacDonald of Leesburg, Bonnie (Travis) Cline of Rainbow City; brother, Donnie (Judy) Hollingsworth of Summerville, GA; father-in-law, Monroe (Marilyn) Green; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Hollingsworth and mother-in-law, Nell Green.
Mr. Hollingsworth was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late Calvin Lindsey and Lillie Mae Robinson Hollingsworth and worked for the Cherokee County Highway Department.
