Leesburg Man Charged with Shoplifting at Sam’s Club Store in Rome

FCSO - Brian_Joseph_BallOne Cherokee County man may have inadvertently handed in his resignation at the Sams Club in Rome.

Police there say 35 year old Brian Joseph Ball of Leesburg went on a shopping spree at the store, but failed to pay for any of the merchandise he took home with him.

Floyd County Jail reports indicate that Ball was taken into custody last Thursday morning and he stands accused of taking more than $2,000 worth of various items including electronics, from the retail giant.  Officers state that Ball stole several Apple products as well as a camera, tablet and a pair of SmartPhones.

He has been charged with two felony counts of Shoplifting.
