The Cherokee County Board of Education made quick work of a light agenda during their Tuesday night meeting, held in the lunchroom at Centre Elementary School.
The board approved a Community Advisor agreement.
The school system gets funding from the state to hire the Community Advisor, who works with the AG Teachers to coordinate FFA activities.
This is the 3rd year for the agreement.
The board also voted to accept the low bid for fuel from Cedar Bluff Oil.
In personnel action, the board voted to hire Patricia Smith as a teacher at Gaylesville School, effective December the 1st.
Classified placements approved by the board included Katrina Pearsey, Special Education Paraprofessional/Bud Aide and Zack Highfield, Instructional Parapro at Centre Middle School.
The board also voted to post the position of In-School Paraprofessional at Gaylesville.
The next Cherokee County Board of Education meeting will be held on October the 22nd at 6 p.m. at the Central Office.
