A Cherokee County man was arrested Monday on a number of charges.
Clifford Desmond Byrd, age 33 of Centre, was charged with Attempting to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Assault 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Byrd was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center, shortly after 10:00pm – according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website.
