Two Hurt in Separate Single-Vehicle Accidents on Thursday

Two people were hurt in two separate single-vehicle accidents in Cherokee County on Thursday.

According to Alabama State Trooper accident reports, that first mishap took place at 10:00am on U.S. 411 and involved a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 42 year old Centre resident Tawana Downey meanwhile the second wreck occurred at 11:30am on Highway 273 and involved a 2006 Chevrolet being driven by 34 year old Jessica Ashley, also of Centre.

Both drivers were listed as being hurt, although no additional information was noted; there were no passengers in either vehicle.
