Teenager Being Charged as an Adult in Connection with Anniston Shooting

A teenager is being charged as an adult in connection with the recent shooting incident occurring at the Shell station on Quintard Avenue in Anniston.

17 year old, Quindarious Malik Sterling, is facing charges of Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Building; that incident took place on August 16th, when Sterling was allegedly involved in an altercation with a 23 year old man in the parking lot of the business, just after 6:00pm.

Sterling is accused of pulling a gun and firing off several rounds, one of which hit the 23 year old in the chest-area; another bullet crashed through the window of the Shell station, grazing a young woman’s arm while she was inside shopping – she was also hit by shards of flying glass.

Both victims were treated at a nearby hospital and later released.

According to ABC/3340 Sterling is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center.
