One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Cherokee County late Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Centre Police Department accident report the wreck took place at 5:35pm at the intersection of East Main and Neal Hill Road and involved a 2010 Smart Car, being driven by 75 year old Duane Thomas of Centre and a 1995 Ford Explorer being driven by 35 year old Wallace Jordan, also of Centre.
Afterwards Thomas was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment; there was no additional information available regarding the extent of his injuries.
