Two Injured In Head-On Collision On Highway 68 Wednesday

Two people were injured in a head on collision Wednesday afternoon in Cherokee County.

According to Leesburg Police Department accident reports – that wreck took place at 5:10pm, on Highway 68 near the Pemco Road – and it involved a 2002 Toyota Corolla driven by 37 year old Jeremy Whitehead of Leesburg, and a 1995 Toyota Corolla, being driven by Collinsville resident Sebastian Raymundo, age 33.

Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum, said both drivers were air-lifted by Life Force to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga for treatment.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
