Three Hurt in DeKalb County Wreck Wednesday Afternoon

Alabama State Troopers worked a two-vehicle crash in DeKalb County – which left three people injured – on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Jacksonville Trooper Post, the wreck took place at 1:10pm on County Road 574 – and it involved a 2008 Dodge being driven by Anney Armendariz-Rico of Rainsville and a 2006 Dodge driven by 42 year old Gadsden resident Phillip Cranford.

Cranford was injured in the wreck and was reportedly taken to a DeKalb County hospital – while two passengers in the other vehicle – two children, ages six and ten – were flown by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

No additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was listed on the accident report.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
