An alert DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Deputy pulled over a pickup truck on County Road 192 near the location of a recent drug arrest – and that stop, soon turned into another drug arrest.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris said the three occupants of the vehicle were identified following that stop – and two of them had active warrants, and were placed under arrest. A consent search of the truck quickly turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia; a Drug Task Force agent was called to the scene to process the evidence.
All three suspects were charged with the drugs and drug paraphernalia – which included syringes and scales.
45 year old Gadsden resident James Hester, 30 year old Josh Anderson of Crossville, and 21 year old Brittany Marie Sherman of Albertville – were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Hester and Anderson also had warrants from Albertville and Boaz, respectfully.
All three were taken into custody and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center, where they await setting of bond.
