Dr. Jimmy Myrick and Dr. Trina Wood were in the WEIS Radio studios Thursday morning, with information on exciting new changes in the Cherokee County school system this year.
Dr. Myrick covered the installation of WIFI in all the schools, which will allow broader access to the internet; the new policy is to allow the students to bring electronic devices to school however when they are allowed in the classroom they are to be used as work tools only – and there will be penalties for any misuse of those devices.
Dr. Wood covered such varied topics as the student dress code and student attendance policies in addition to Virtual Alabama Safety Plans & Safety Drills, and more.
