The Weiss Lake Antique Power Association said thanks to the community for it support with a free tractor show Saturday at Centre City Park.

This was the 2nd “Centre Appreciation Day” and it featured free hot dogs and soft drinks along with a variety of antique tractors on display.

Most of the tractors were from the 1940s and 1950 with some from the 1930s and the 1960s.

They included Allis Chalmers, John Deere, Farmall, Ford, and Minneapolis Moline.

Weiss Lake Antique Power Association President Lenn Hill says the organization is dedicated to giving back to the community.

They have a fundraiser tractor show in October at Noccalula Falls and they make donations to Cherokee County Relay for Life and to FFA’s in Cherokee and Etowah Counties.

Each Christmas, they give 200-dollars to churches in Cherokee, Etowah and Calhoun Counties to help families in need.

They also make a donation to the Etowah County Rescue Squad for their assistance with the tractor show.

The association meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Centre City Hall.
