Gadsden State Community College President Raymond Staats – has been placed on paid leave.
According to the website al.com Alabama Community College System President Mark Heinrich made the announcement to employees of the college at 12:00 noon Monday (July 22nd).
The prepared statement – which was released after the announcement – didn’t specify any reason for the decision nor did it outline Statts’ future with the system.
The move comes just two months after a “No Confidence” vote from 350 school employees with 312 disapproving of his leadership – many citing that “leadership was not receptive”, to what the employees had to say.
The two-year college system has named William Blow as Interim President; Blow has previously served as interim president of both Gadsden State and Alabama Southern Community College in Thomasville.
