Two Gadsden men were arrested on July 10 and charged in connection to stolen property, according to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
Investigator Jason Argo says 32-year old Joshua Lawrence Helms is charged with one count of third degree burglary and two counts of second degree theft of property while 34-year old Tony Neal Helms is charged with one count of second degree receiving stolen property.
All charges are felonies.
Joshua allegedly stole three guns, two TV’s, a necklace, two chain saws, an air compressor, a box of pocket knives and various mechanic tools from a residence located on Duck Springs Road.
The incident happened between June 22 and June 26.
During the investigation, Tony was found to be in possession of one knife and the two TV’s and Joshua was in possession of five pocket knives.
Tony is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
Joshua is being detained in the Detention Center without bond due to a probation violation.
