A DeKalb County man was air-lifted, following a single-vehicle accident in Cedar Bluff Monday afternoon.
At approximately 5:45pm, a black 1999 Ford Explorer left the roadway on Highway 9 – crashing just north of the Country Store.
The driver, identified as 27 year old Daniel Walker of a Ft Payne address was taken by Cherokee EMS to the Cedar Bluff High School football field – and from there – was flown by helicopter to Huntsville for treatment; apparently there were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters, along with Alabama State Troopers, responded to the scene.
That accident remains under investigation by the state patrol.
