Hokes Bluff Man Fatally Injured in Highway 278 Accident

A 51 year old Hokes Bluff man – was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Etowah County Tuesday afternoon.

According to just-released Alabama State Trooper accident reports, Gregory Ramon Sanford was fatally injured when his 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup left the roadway and struck a ditch; Sanford – who was not wearing a seatbelt – was ejected from the vehicle.

The wreck took place at 3:50pm on Highway 278 approximately three miles east of Hokes Bluff.

The accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
