UPDATE:
According to a news release from Cherokee County Coroner Broderick Smith, the three bodies found in Weiss Lake on June 13th are believed to be that of two adult males and one adult female.
The bodies have been sent to the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville for autopsies and for help with positive identification.
This incident is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
The case will remain open until positive identification of the remains can be made and next of kin can be notified.
