An investigation into the discovery of 170 illicit pictures depicting children in a sexual nature is on-going – according to Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader.

The pictures were found on the cell phone of 23 year old Aaron Cody Helton of Pennville.

While Sheriff’s Office Investigator Caroline Cobb was working on a separate case, when it came to light that Helton had pornography on his phone.

Sheriff Schrader said Helton was placed under arrest due to the graphic nature of the pictures and he is currently being held without bond while investigators continue to look into just where those pictures came from and how they ended up on the subject’s phone.
