Mr. Elbert Morgan Parris, age 82 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, June 11th at Riverview Medical Center. Graveside service will be held 2 PM Friday at Sand Rock Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Parris officiating. Survivors include his son, Wayne Waits of Rainsville; daughter, Carolyn Waits of GA.; sister, Gwendolyn Etherton of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Parris was a native of Etowah County, a commercial bus driver with Trailways, and a member of the Baptist Faith.
