“Maybe It’s Time to Get Into Another Line of Work”

CCSO - Scott, Cheri - 06-14-2013Repossession work isn’t for everyone; just ask the guy who was hired to repossess a vehicle from 42 year old Cheri Scott of Talladega.

Scott was charged with second degree assault which is a felony – after she allegedly stabbed a 55 year old man attempting to repossess her 2002 Jeep Liberty on Tuesday (June 11th).

Oxford officers were called to a carwash in the 1800 block of Friendship Road, at about 8:30 that night and arrived to find a man who’d been stabbed in the leg with an unknown object.

The victim told officers that Scott punched him in the face several times – and stabbed him in the leg; police noted that the man’s right leg was bleeding heavily from two puncture wounds, but he refused medical treatment.

According to the Annistin Star Scott was taken into custody at the scene – however – the weapon was not recovered.

She was released from the Oxford City Jail Wednesday on a $3,000 bond, and has a court date of July 1st in that case.
