Four Arrested In Dekalb On Drug Charges

Four people have been arrested and warrants have been issued for a fifth following the discovery of marijuana plants and 5 meth labs at a residence near Crossville.

According to a news release, a Dekalb County Sheriff’s Deputy went to the residence to do a follow-up on a missing person report.

While at the residence, the deputy observed marijuana plants and a subject fled the scene.

The deputy detained the other four suspects and a subsequent search of the premises revealed a total of 40 marijuana plants, chemicals, drug paraphernalia and five meth labs.

43-year old Michael Mooneyham, 49-year old Cynthia Kay Mooneyham, both of Crossville, along with 18-year old Hannah Beth Mooneyham of Albertville and 40-year old Stacie Mooneyham of Grove Oak were all arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Manufacturing of Controlled Substance 1st, and Trafficking in Marijuana.

41-year old James Dewayne Nelson of Crossville was identified as the person who fled the scene and warrants were obtained for his arrest on the same charges.

All suspects remain in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bonds.
