A 29 year old Piedmont man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident occurring during the early morning hours of Friday (May 24th), in Calhoun County.
According to Alabama State Trooper accident report Alfred L. Mayse II – driving a 2002 Pontiac – was fatally injured in the wreck, which took place at 4:00am – approximately one mile south of Piedmont on Highway 21.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
