WEIS Radio News recently spoke with Cherokee County Commissioner Marcie Foster regarding an upcoming media campaign designed to increase awareness of how spending habits can have a tremendous effect on our local economy.
Unfortunately, it’s all too easy to forget the importance of keeping our dollars here at home – but when you think about it – and you should – it makes sense in more ways than one, with the funds going toward everything from infrastructure and road improvements to fire and police protection and education.
The Chamber of Commerce and Cherokee County Commission would like to remind everyone it just makes good sense to shop at home because those tax revenues make a tremendous difference in the quality of services that can be offered by the cities and the county – to all county residents, both now and in the future.
We’ll have more on that upcoming campaign in the coming weeks.
For those local business owners who would like to learn more about becoming part of that effort, contact your Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce at (256) 927-8455.
