Someone claiming to be a cat keeps harassing a 44 year old Chattooga County woman.

The woman – who is a resident of Pennville – reported to the sheriff’s office, that someone using a restricted telephone number keeps calling her and after the answers they purr like a cat – that’s all.  No talk.  Just purr.

She also informed investigators she’d been receiving text messages asking personal questions – and when she sent a text in returning asking “who are you?” – the reply came back “Kitty Cat”.

Now here’s the fun part.

Law enforcement officials have managed to track down “Kitty Cat’s” telephone number – so, the next call the phony feline receives may well be from the magistrate’s office.
