Two young girls say a Summerville man gave them drugs and sexually molested them.
49 year old William Frederick Marquis of a Church Street address, has been arrested and charged with statutory rape, child molestation, sodomy, incest, possession of meth, and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Detectives say one girl was allegedly molested once – while the abuse of the other girl took place over the course of a year or more.
After being advised of the situation police went to Marquis’ home but no one was there, however a neighbor told officers that he’d seen a man running through a yard toward Fulmer Street.
A short time later, Officer Steve Bates spotted Marquis coming out of a wooded area near Sunset Drive and West Washington Street and took him into custody.
