Mr. Danny Lee Pounds, age 68, of Piedmont, passed away Friday, May 3rd at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25th at Neil Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Bishop Pounds of Piedmont; his son Jedadiah Drew Pounds of Villa Rica, Georgia and a sister, Joan Hardin of Cedartown, Georgia.
Mr. Pounds was born in Jacksonville but was raised in Cedartown, the son of the late Alford Lee and Lula Shealy Pounds. He was a football coach and teacher at several schools. He was of the Baptist faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
